The M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System is an armoured, self-propelled, multiple rocket launcher; a type of rocket artillery. Delivering an awesome payload of varied munitions over a wide area at extreme distances. I first got to see this fire power in the first Gulf War and thought it would be great on the table top. Said to be so powerful a battery of them could effectively wipe out an entire armoured battalion. Built as a joint venture by the UK, USA, France and Germany it’s real power lay in its guided munitions options and its 40+ mile range.
Modern Multiple Launch Rocket System
So when I was at Salute and looking at the jaw dropping DropZone Commander line in the glass cabinet and I saw what I now know as the PHR Taranis Multiple Launch Rocket System, I thought, I have to have one of those, no two, three argh! It was another tick in the box for me on picking PHR as my go to faction ๐
Now David’s version of this system has the smooth sleek lines true to his consistent style for the whole range and the spookiness of a no driver view of an autonomous weapon system. Awesome ๐
PHR Taranis Multiple Launch Rocket System
You may notice that the Taranis has 13 rockets, unlucky for some!
Today we have the UCM heavies the Gladius HBT a low sleek main chaise with awesome looking weaponry on a powered arm or some kind, sweet looking. I am not sure if the aspect is correct on the image from David, but that is the post he sent.
Next on the list of previews from Hawk Wargames are the Scourge Prowlers David said These things can inject tanks with white hot plasma, immolating the unfortunate crew!
The Shaltari Yari light tank – 2 armed with ion cannons (anti-air), the other 2 with microwave guns (anti-infantry) presented in the usually high standard of painting. A very nice nice collection of light tanks and interesting sculpts of weapons. All in all another great edition to the range. ๐
Well this evening we have more from the Post-Human Republic in the form of the Janus Scout Walker, well these sure are nifty little scouts. I look forward to seeing them in flesh so to speak.
Today we have the UCM Wolverine scout buggies, I am sure I have seen them with a mixed bunch of weapon types, will be interesting to see what they come suppied with? One option or many?
I understand that some folks might be bored stupid by the amount of stuff we’ve had showcasing Hawk Wargames’ incoming DropZone Commander offering. However, as I was sitting here in a typical Friday afternoon waiting for beer o’clock stupor it occurred to me that there are only two weeks left until the pre-orders go live!
As I’ve been considering what I want to spent my miniatures budget on when I get paid next week I may have to hold out to see what’s on the horizon for our current major interest.
Are you eagerly awaiting more details of the latest in 10mm sci-fi? Let us know which faction you find the most interesting!
Today we have the Scourge Desolator “Armed with the deadly and indiscriminate Ion Storm Generator super weapon! Beware of friendly fire!” From David at Hawk Wargames
Well no guesses on what I think this looks like, lets not mention the popular sci-fi game, but there are differences and I love the whole concept of them anyway so I’m good. Plus nothing like a great looking squid based sci-fi ship to fly around a battlefield decimating the enemy! ๐
On my daily search on the interweb I come across all sorts of hobby related news/images and gossip. Well one of these searches I found some new images from the Salute 2012 show of the stunning miniatures from DropZone Commander. Some you would have seen and some, well maybe not.
